Hollywood Beach is located on the west side of the Channel Islands Harbor and has about one linear mile of oceanfront property. It has a wide powder soft-sand beach with a great vantage point to view the Channel Islands. A great place for walking. Oceanfront homes line Ocean Drive, with inboard homes behind. Locals love breakfast at Mrs. Olson's Coffee Hut, a long-time favorite. The Channel Islands Marina is also in walking distance, with shops and restaurants and water-related activities.
Hollywood Beach got its name when it became the location in the 1920s for silent movie classics The Shiek and the Son of the Sheik. Movie stars of the day, Rudolph Valentino, Clark Gable and Carol Lombard were all said to have had homes in Hollywood Beach, seeking a place of serenity away from the lights and cameras of the other Hollywood.
Hollywood Beach Oceanfront homes range in price from $2m to $4.5m.
